I am not registered as an iOS developer, so this will be my first experience
with iOS 8. The Applevis article notes that setting the "status cells" option
to anything other than "off" renders VoiceOver totally unusable until a sighted
person sets the setting back to "off". I suspect that a number of users,
probably even those who don't usually connect Braille displays, have changed
this setting at some point while exploring the Braille options. It would seem
that for these users, after the update installs their phones will be completely
silent unless they know to change this setting beforehand. Is this an accurate
assessment of the status cell bug?
