When out walking and using a GPS app such as BlindSquare or Maps I would prefer to keep my iPhone 4S in my pocket & use a keyboard to navigate the app.
I know Apple has a portable bluetooth keyboard but they tend to be a bit pricy so hopefully there is a good after market solution.
