I personally like the app called Group Email. It is $7.99 but it is worth it. It is a little tedious to learn, but it works very well. You have to save the document in the app, so if you have it in Dropbox, or in a word processing app, you can do the pass-through gesture, double-tap and hold, and select open in then select group email. Once you have the file in Group Email, you go in and select the recipient, then add the attachment, then select send message and write you message and hit send.
