I don't know what the limit is or that there is one. I use it for common things or questions commonly used between a husband and wife such as,
ILY I Love You WTWYBH What time will you be home? IOMW I'm on my way IRL I'm running late As you can clearly see, I use the first letter of each word in the phrase. The longer the string, the less the chance you'll accidentally type the string. Sense I have an iPhone 4 which does not have Siri, I have no clue how it might or might not work with siri.
