Hi Annie and everybody,
I'm a little skeptical about the new iphone 5S performances on this respect.
In fact, its Braille low speed and poor
efficiency derive mainly from the VoiceOver
software and its way of bluetooth managing.
As well, I don't believe the most improved camera
will be able to dramatically increase text
recognition capabilities. Talking of simple black
& white text recognition it especially depends on
the picture clearness and understandability
rather than on the higher megapixels resolution.
We will see!

think there is much use of it, if you only use
speech, but braille speed e.g. in kindle could possibly be improved.
