Hi May,

Unless you tested it in the last 3 or 4 months the one you tried was
possibly the Blueamp Q2 since the Q3 was announced around January and only
started shipping in March.

I also just read a review of the Q3 which explains that initially the audio
quality was very poor, but that a recent firmware update fixed this very
nicely. The drawback here is that apparently the firmware update at this
point can only be done from a PC and not from a Mac, here is the link for
the review:

-review/

I also recommend that whichever headset you decide to buy that you do so
from a place like Future Shop or I assume Best Buy would be OK as well. In
any case, ask them if they have a return policy since every person has
different shaped ears and the reviewer, for example, said that their top
rated earpiece was the Plantronics Voyager Legend UC, but that it wouldn't
stay in their ear where for them the Q3 was super comfortable.
I bought a Jawbone ERA about a year and a half ago from Future Shop and I
really didn't like the way it fit and at the time I was still hoping to find
a single ear piece which allowed for audio controls like Play/Pause. I
decided after 2 days not to keep it and returned it to the same Future Shop,
I just said I was not satisfied with it and got a full refund without any
hassle.

Other models you might consider are the Jawbone ERA, the Plantronics M50
which Raul likes a lot (less expensive than headsets like the Jawbone ERA or
Q3. I have a Jabra Supreme which I like for comfort, sound quality and I
like the fact that it turns on and off by unfolding or folding the little
boom that is the microphone so I never forget to turn it off and run down
the battery. However, I have read reports which say that it does not work
with the iPhone 5, on my 4S it works flawlessly.

In short, I think that all of the higher end headsets are very good and
typically have similar features. I think it really comes down to personal
preference once you narrow your choice to 2 or 3 models it's probably more a
matter of fit than anything else.

By the way, which Bluetooth keyboard do you have? I have not yet heard of a
keyboard that is working on a 3GS, 4 or 4S but not on a 5.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hmm, I tried the Blueant Q3 before with the 3gs and didn't like it so well.

Course maybe they work better now, *smiles*

The bt headset I need is more for calls and not for music.
