I'm curious why you refer to Google Map's questionable accessibility record. I haven't used it in a while, so I can't answer your question, but I downloaded it when it first came out, and I didn't have a problem with it's accessibility, so although something may have changed recently, it's been accessible since the get go. Also, the reason to keep trying it is because it may end up being a superior product. The iPhone itself wasn't accessible when it first came out but people didn't give up on it.

Greetings to the list.

I don't know why I bother playing with Google Maps considering its
questionable accessibility record, but I'm still curious about making
this app work. When I upgraded to V. 1.16, I noticed the "Action
Results" button seems to have been removed. I cannot figure out how
to make the app speak voice-guided turn-by-turn instructions. I can
plug in a starting point and a destination address, and I can call up
a map if I press the "Paging Footer" button; but I can't enable
voice-guided instructions. Any thoughts, please?

BTW, "Action Results" and "Paging Footer" are cryptic labels to say the least.
