Your passwords are stored on the secure Roboform server and are, of course, encrypted there so even a Roboform employee couldn't actually see them. The service is $20 a year, but this gives you the licence to install on as many devices as you want and your passwords will sync automatically. For example, if you had it on a PC and your iPhone and you add a password on the PC, it will sync to the cloud and you can then sync on your iPhone and it gets the latest updates from the server. You might want to search the archives for things like password or password manager, others on the list use other apps and have their reasons. Many want a free app, I personally have to sync between at least 3 or 4 computers at my business and my laptop and iPhone and I don't mind paying $20 a year for a service that works and gets good ratings. I'm sure others are good, but Roboform is what I have had for years and I have never found a reason to change it. The app is nicely accessible and you can set a PIN for the app in addition to having to use your master password so nobody can even get into the app. Only thing is that with the current version for some reason it seems that I can't access password protected SafeNotes, but I am working with Roboform to fix that.
