Hi,
Yesterday, in the post, came the below. not only is it a very acceptable
rendition from Prizmo and the StandScan, it is also interesting to me as a VIP .
There were 2 sheets of print in the letter and I got a perfect reading of
the first which was a request for me to attend for jury service. I don't know
how this works around the world, but I had always the impression that I, as a
registered Blind person, was exempted from jury service. Now, this may well be
the case and I will find out when I get there (complete with Guide Dog) but,
actually, I don't agree with this exemption and so will be arguing my fitness
for the task. I only raised it here because I got the info directly from my
iPhone, using the mighty Prizmo and my trusty StandScan Pro, and, while I know
it to be off topic for this list, I was just, in passing, interested to know
how the law stands in other countries prior to attending their selection.
Happy reading,
Sandy.
