Hi Bill,

If that is the case it comes down to ilimination. Do you use any other
Bluetooth device like another headsed, keyboard or speaker and are they
working? Do you know somebody else who has an iPhone so you can try and pair
the headset with their iPhone? If that works you at least know that the
headset is not defective. Have you tried to reboot the phone?? I would
suggest to empty the app switcher completely, make sure Bluetooth is turned
off, then turn off the phone, wait 10 or so seconds and turn it back on. Now
turn Bluetooth back on and try to ppair the headset. I would also try to
turn off WiFi and see if that makes a difference.

Regards,
Sieghard

This is the problem, when I attempt to pair the devices the iPhone is not
discovering the Plantronics BT earphone. It simply not listed in the list
where it should be appearing as an available device..

Hi Bill, you dumb sh**

OK, now since you said it yourself, this was just too good to pass up
*smile*.

Anyhow, without knowing which model of Plantronics I can't look up the
pairing sequence, but are you sure that the headset is not just turned on
but also in pairing mode? On many headsets you hold down the power button
for maybe 5 seconds after you press it to turn it on, on other headsets
there might be a different button you have to press, but if the headset is
no longer paired with your iPhone you definitely will have to pair it again
and just turning on the power won't do that.

Good luck,
Sieghard

Subject: iPhone 5 Not Finding BT Earphone

In November, I bought a Plantronics Blue Tooth earphone. I paired it up
with my iPhone 5 with no problem and then some weeks later directed my
iPhone to "forget this device."

Now, even though the Plantronics is fully charged (when turning it on, I'm
informed there is five hours of talk time available), the iPhone 5 isn't
able to discover this BT device.

Can anybody offer any advice, suggestions or just a simple, "You Dumb
Sh**!".
