Hi, If anyone is still running the old version of the app could you kindly verify for me that the two finger scrub gesture does indeed and in fact activate back buttons within the app. I swore it did but am having trouble convincing the audible tech support engineer with whom I’m in contact of this fact. I think this has more to do with their unfamiliarity of execution of Voiceover gestures than anything else but did want to verify just in case I’d lost what’s left of my mind. Further can anyone reproduce whether or not this gesture is rendered useless in the current version of the app as I can’t get it to activate back buttons myself. Here’s hoping these discussions with this tech support person will yield some sort of positive outcome. Robin

I'd prefer that the chapter playing be shown, so that you would know if you want to go back to the beginning of that chapter or back two three etc. Otherwise I am quite happy with the app. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 10:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Advancing through a Chapter with the New Audible App Hi Craig, Yes, at this point the functionality to fast forward is gone unless you use a headset or Bluetooth keyboard. On a headset like Apple Earpods you can still double press and hold the middle button and it will fast forward or, on a Bluetooth keyboard, press and hold F9. Alternatively you can go to the "Chapters and Bookmarks" page, where all the chapters of the part of the book that you are listening to are listed. While the book is playing you can double tap on any of them and the playback position will jump to the beginning of that chapter. If I want to rewind quite a bit because maybe I fell asleep without setting the sleep timer, I just double tap on the chatpers until I recognize the start of one. Then I double tap on the next one, close the Chapters and Bookmarks page and then use the Jump Back button which is still there. I have changed the jump interval to 1 minute instead of 30 seconds in the settings and since most Audible books have chapter by chapter navigation and most chapters are rarely very long it's pretty quick to find a place again. I have not yet updated the Audible app to its latest version. I believe the "rewind" and "fast forward" buttons have been removed from the latest version of the app. Does this mean that there is no longer an easy way to advance in a chapter? I rarely use the "fast forward" button, but it is sometimes helpful, hence, my question. Thanks for all help.
