Hello, You can pay the subscription at any time, since the season starts today. As far as the new features being announced on opening day, we'll have to wait until after spring training for that. Also, if you have an Apple TV, you can use your mlb.com account if you buy MLB.TV premium to stream the games through that device as well as your portable iOS devices.
