In Ibooks I have (discovered) that doing a "read to end" on the keyboard it
would be the

ctrl+shift+a, the remainder of the book will be read if not interrupted.

The same is true of the Nook app.
Difference is that the Nook app will suggest how to do it first.
So give this a try and let us know what happens.
BTW, when I said (discovered) earlier I was also under the impression that you
couldn't read continuously in iBooks but was corrected by one of the other
members (I don't recall the person's name).
I had been using Nook just because I had thought Nook wasn't capable of doing
this but now I use both depending on which site has the better price or is
carrying the book I want (no they don't always carry the same books.
