Hi Bill, Not sure if you are aware of this, but you can use iTunes to convert MP3 ringtones to M4R. It may involved maybe an extra step or 2, but it's free. Basically all you have to do is take your MP3 ringtone and if iTunes is set as your default music player, just press enter on it. iTunes will open and play the ringtone. Next find the ringtone and right click on it or use the application key. Pick "Make AAC Version" from the context menu. You have to make sure your encoder is set to AAC in Edit, Preferences, General Tab, Import Settings otherwise you may not have this option. After you press enter a copy of the ringtone in M4A format appears next to the MP3 one. Now right click again and select "View in Windows Explorer" or something along these lines. This will open the folder where your ringtone is and I believe you should be right on the ringtone. Now just rename it and instead of the M4A extension replace the "a" with an "r" so it has a M4R extension. Now copy it into your Automatically Add to iTunes folder", delete the MP3 ringtone you started out with from the music library as well as the M4A version you created. Next time you start iTunes your M4R ringtone in the automatically add to iTunes folder will be moved to the Ringtones folder and added to your Ringtones Library.
It sounds like quite a few steps, but once you do it a couple of times it will probably take you no more than a minute. I ask the second question because I'm interested in purchasing the full license, but have never seen it done the way it's done with this program. Naturally, it raises a red flag, and I don't feel much like experiencing Identity Theft.
