The only isse I have experienced is that sometimes, when having gone to use my
iPhone via the external speaker after having used my Bluetooth earbuds, the
volume is low and I have to increase the volume. But no problem s with making
calls.

Subject: Concerning inexplicable volume drop on iPhones

Good evening all,

A number of folks who are Blind using voiceover have been experiencing an
inexplicable automatic volume drop during phone calls (including myself). This
has been happening on iPhones SE, 13, 14, 15 and16. Now, of course, this
doesn’t seem to happen only with VoiceOver users; I have a friend who does not
use VoiceOver and the volume drops on her iPhone 14 automatically for no
explainable reason.

Can anybody on this list using an iPhone 17 advise whether or not this happens
with that model?

Any and all responses will be much appreciated.

FYI: I’m contemplating buying an iPhone 17, but only if this maddening
automatic voice drop doesn’t occur on that model. I’m not sure why, but Apple
doesn’t seem able to correct this problem and it’s most frustrating.

TIA!
