It appears that Alexa may be experiencing some type of internal issue.
I have two Echo Dots on my kitchen table--one
fourth-generation and one fifth-generation. I
enjoy using them to play music in stereo. I also
have one of the larger Echo speakers in my
bedroom. Although that device does not provide
stereo sound (unless I plug in earphones or a
headset), its larger speaker produces noticeably
better audio quality, particularly in the bass range.
The problem is this: when I ask either Dot what
is playing, Alexa responds, "sorry, I’m not sure
what was playin--." I have to ask who wrote the
song in order to receive a proper response. The
standalone Echo, however, has never had this
issue and consistently provides the correct information.
