But do not increase it too much! I have discovered through long struggles with Apple Accessibility that if you increase the Double Tap time out to more than 0.4 seconds then you run the risk of VoiceOver on the keyboard when using standard typing giving you focus on an entirely different key from the one that your finger is on! I thought at first it was simply a question of using Touch typing but then wanted to go back to standard typing I did a reset all settings that seemed to fix it but as I put back in other settings and including increasing the Double Tap time out the problem came back so the problem was worse on my iPad Pro but also happened on my iPhone 16 pro Max. The moral of the tail is only increase Double Tap timeout by a small amount as you experiment! Cheers Harry.
