As others already pointed out, USB-C is now the standard and it will be for a
very long time. It is very much worthwhile to invest in 1 or 2 good multi-port
USB-C adapters, I have 1 Anker which is classified as a desktop charger and
another from Hyper which is more compact with a folding plug and is great for
travelling.

My Anker desktop charger is about the size of an Apple TV and has a total of 6
ports, 4 USB-C and 2 traditional USB-A ports.

It can output a total of 200 Watts with each USB-C port being able to support
up to 100 Watts which means it is plenty powerful enouh for any laptop although
if you had an Apple laptop and you wanted the absolutely fastest charging, you
would need an adapter/power station which can deliver 140 Watts on at least 1
port. Anker also makes a more expensive 250 Watt power station with a display
and it does support 140 Watt charging. Here is the link on the Anker Canada
website for the charger I have:

Canada<https://www.anker.com/ca/products/a2683-anker-prime-charger-200w-6-ports-gan?variant=46036216217764>

And here is the link for the 250 Watt charger:

Anker Prime Charger | 250W 6-Port Charging Station - Anker
Canada<https://www.anker.com/ca/products/a2345-anker-prime-charger-250w-6-ports-ganprime?variant=46111934644388&ref=a2683-anker-prime-charger-200w-6-ports-gan>

If you don’t need this many ports, you could get one of the more travel
oriented chargers which often have 2 USB-C and 1 USB-A ports, I find sticking
with well-known brands like anker, UGreen, Belkin, Hyper, Satechi etc. is a
good idea as opposed to going with some total no-name charger from Amazon or
Temu which is super cheap.

You want to make sure it’s a GaN charger (Gallium Nitrite) as these can deliver
a lot of power and still be comparatively small and efficient. UGreen actually
makes one of their Nexode models which can deliver a whopping 500 Watts across
6 or 8 ports, but unless you plan to use it to power multiple laptops, iPads
and so on, there is really little need to go this big..

I got the little cube that connects to the wall, at iShop (the equivalent to
the Apple Stores here), the original Apple one, just to be on the safe side.
