A little more clear, but I am still not positive who is impersonating who. Is it: 1. The person who used to be your friend impersonating you and they are calling other friends of yours Or: 2. Are they pretending to be one of your friends and they are calling you?
Is this happening with phone calls or text messages? WhatsApp uses your phone number and if you set up WhatsApp on your iPhone and let’s say you enter your number, you then get a text message with a code and you have to confirm that it is you. I would say it would be quite difficult with WhatsApp for somebody to use somebody elses account unless they maybe had access to their device. If somebody had access to your iPhone, they could set up Voiceover on a computer or an ipad and use your device to scan the QR code which appears and which is need to authenticate the account.
