I occasionally say something straight forward like “Call John Smith” or “Message John Smith” and then Siri asks me “Which app do you want to use”. I have Phone set as my default calling app and Messages is set as my default messaging app. Guess it’s just one of these weird Siri issues which still exist and where you want to roll your eyes that after 14 years of Siri it isn’t smarter. Of course Apple is really under pressure now with all the AI stuff to really make Siri smarter than it is.
