Glad you were able to resolve that issue.  I was the person that had the same 
trouble you did  and that was the answer for me as well.  Take caer.

Crisis over. Someone on another list mentioned that bluetooth may have been 
turned off. This appears to be what happened in my situation.
 
I don’t know if there were different BT instant pots, because one manual I came 
across said to press and hold for three seconds, while another one stated press 
and hold for 10 seconds. In any event, pressing and holding for 10 seconds and 
then pairing worked.

Mine is still working, thank goodness!. I don’t know of any other app or way to 
use this device if you can’t have your phone except for the one you mentioned, 
i.e. brailing the stuff out. Whoopee! I have heard that the new ones are not 
very accessible even with their app. I don’t have one so I don’t know. Like 
you, I would use what I have and just make do. But I’ve got my fingers crossed 
that it just keeps working.

Up until last week or so, I’ve been able to use my bluetooth IP fine with the 
smart cooker app with no issues. However, a few days ago, when I tried starting 
the pressure cooker, I got error message that there was no IP connected and to 
add an appliance etc. Odd, but whatever. I was able to pare it with my phone 
again and went on with my day. 
Yesterday, I wanted to make some oatmeal and ran into the same connect 
appliance problem. This time however, no matter what I tried, the IP just 
wouldn’t connect. I didn’t delete the app from my phone as it no longer appears 
in the app store. Otherwise, I would have tried that. 
I know there’s a new app called Instant Connect, but from the looks of it, it 
only seems to support their WiFi models. 
Does anyone know if there’s still a way to connect the bluetooth IP to either 
the Smart Cooker app or at this point, any other iOS app?
Worst come to worst, I’ll just have to Braille out lables for the various 
buttons as I have no need to get another pressure cooker as this one works 
perfectly fine other than the BT issue and I wouldn’t be exactly enthused to 
buy another IP since who knows how long they’ll support any newer models going 
forward. I have’nt bothered reaching out to Instant Pot because all they’ll 
suggest is to buy one of their newer models which again, isn’t going to happen.
