I love VDScan. NO, it isn't the fastest, though you don't have to wait for it to do the auto scan, but the key is positioning the phone properly. I get better results with VDScan than using a flatbed scanner with Openbook on my computer. Maybe a stand to hold the camera would help.
You might also try Prizmo Go, which is free, and if that works well, and it doesn't have all what you need, they do have a paid version that is just called Prizmo. Note, the z in the word. BTW, I once did 230 pages in one sitting with VDScan and it worked wlel. But I also was using a stand.
