That is interesting because I only have sunglasses and it works and during
Covid it worked with my mask and my mask hung from my nose down past my
chin.

If you want to use Apple Pay you also must at least set up a PIN. Of course
if you do then not setting up and using Facial Id makes no sense just as it
neve rmade sense to me when somebody had a PIN before Face Id but never set
up Touch Id.

I didn't used to use a pass code, but if you want to use Whatsapp with the
meta glasses, it is required that you have a pass code.

When asked to set a passcode, you can decline, or at least you used to.
It gets rather insistent that you have one, but you can keep hitting a do
not use passcode button and eventually you should be able to set up your
phone.
If you do that, know that anyone who picks up your phone has complete access
to everything, which I for one, would never choose.
You can have a passcode and choose not to have facial ID.

I know that for security reasons that using facial ID as will be the case
with the iPhone 16E and/or pass code is highly recommended if not required.
If it isn’t required, what is the work around for not having to use these
