I heard a rumor today that the iPhone SE update will come out next week with no press release. Obviously just a rumor, but I have been holding on to my slowish iPhone SE second generation so that I can have a full choice of latest phones. Is there a blind users buyers guide to the iPhones to help decide if: 1. LIDAR add aa real advantage. 2. Do newer cameras improve OCR 3. Do newer camera help with Be My Eyes and AIRA? 4. Should I get a cheaper phone and spend the money saved on a pair of smart glasses?
I know folks love their meta glasses, but I would rather pay a little more and not have Meta capturing my life, but alternatives still appear to be in the rumor stage. Obviously, until the specifications of the SE are out no decision can be made. My main complaints with my current phone is it takes about 5 seconds for a Siri response and I don’t believe it is my network, and 40 minutes of walking navigation takes about 60% of my battery life.
