Tony, Be aware that Apple thinks a design that involves no protruding buttons is best. I suspect as is the case with my Airpods version 3 that the button you're seeking is flush with the case and can be felt only as a a round seam. On the Airpods 3, this button is in the middle of the rear of the case. When you locate what you think might be it, you should be able to feel a slight depression when you press on it if the Airpods 4 case is like that of the 3.
