When I followed your instructions, which is essentially what I had done before on an app that I know is in a folder I called Utilities, it never tells me in fact it is in a folder called Utilities.
It will tell me all about the app; but not where it is located exactly, other than on my iPhone. HTH. You need to place focus on the file of interest within the Files app, single finger triple tap on the screen to open the context menu, swipe to the Get info option, and single finger double tap.
