I have one more thing to say then I will be quiet. Just because one person says 
they can work with the Walmart app. Does it mean that everybody else can work 
with it. As far as I am concerned, it is still has an accessible as it is ever 
been. And hopefully it will get fixed or if not, we will all have to figure out 
what we can do.

quite a bit more expensive. And because we are very rural, we often have issues 
getting an acceptable shopper. If we had a delivery scheduled for 9 A.M. for 
example, we may not get assigned a shopper until 10:30 depending on if someone 
else in this area wanted a delivery and they could bundle our order.
 
Besides the extra fees both Instacart and Shipt add on to each delivery the 
store choices were also not good for us. Again, because we were rural. With 
Instacart it was Aldees or nothing. And with shipt it was a small local store 
about a half mile from our house that was always so low in stock we generally 
had to put in a third choice for every single item just to get a full week’s 
delivery.
 
With Walmart I miss the personal attention that I had with Shipt. I was spoiled 
by the preferred shopper. We had worked out a deal where we had exchanged 
numbers and she even ran back to the store once when the checkout person forgot 
to put something in the bag. It was still sitting at the checkout when she got 
to the store. We even exchanged Christmas gifts during the Holidays.
 
But there was never a guarantee that she would be my shopper every week. One 
time she was off two months for knee surgery and one of the substitutes left 
our groceries in the apartment parking lost and drove off. It just so happened 
that the service manager saw her go and knew I got groceries the same time 
every week and brought them in for me. We are friends as well. I’ve been very 
fortunate since moving here in 2020.
 
Walmart saves me hundreds of dollars every month and the choices are 
outstanding. Compared to the other stores I used to shop from anyway. I am 
frustrated at the growing lack of accessibility. And seeming lack of caring 
from the company. However, for me it is the best deal in town. I’m already 
getting Walmart Plus deals trying to head off Amazon Prime deals in the app. It 
will be a shame if their lack of cooperation with the blind community costs 
them a little business next week. But I won’t complain too much if it saves me 
a little money in the process. Ok, I may complain a little.

The other grocery outlet in Ashland, Wisconsin has absolutely no Internet 
presents whatsoever.
 
For everyone else, particularly those living in a larger urban area, you might 
consider InstaCart as a very viable alternative.
