My daughter has an old phone. She has had a couple occasions where she wasn’t’
getting text messages and the common denominator was Android versus iPhone,
even within a single group chat. Without her changing any settings, she would
stop being able to text with Android users, but able to text with her iphone
friends. I just assumed it’s because she is on an old 6S, but it’s possible
the issue could occur on other models. She’s only 13 and this is her first
phone, if anyone is shocked that I only gave her a 6S hand-me-down phone.
Anyway, after reading a bunch online, we ended up having her delete message
conversations she didn’t need anymore. You can imagine, a bunch of tweens and
teens send lots of images and gifs back and forth, so I wonder if it just got
overloaded.

Subject: Inconsistency with Text Messages

Lately I have found several occasions when people have asked if ai got their
text and I had to say no. At the same time, I was getting other texts. How
could that be?
