Folks, Voicedream support replied to an email a few hours after I sent it, saying, that their app works best with ios 17. So I bit the bullet and finally updated. Vdr works as it is supposed to. Siri seems to work nearly as well as in ios16. Voicedream problems were solved by updating from 16 to 17.5.1. Thanx all for your encouragement and suggestions.
