The fact that they’re only reaching out now and it is because they want money is even more disgusting, and then there’s the fact they lied to us after we trusted them. From where I come from, we call that a Backstabber. Do you know what we do with Backstabber? We cut them off, and if we can’t do that, we make sure everyone else knows they’re a Backstabber. Trust is the most important thing ever and once it smashed, it’s gone.

However, my app is currently not working, I have tried everything, and no matter what I do all of a sudden during this last week I can no longer get any book share books to download. I have emailed them and have not gotten any response. This issue has occurred repeatedly over the last month, and they have not responded to my emails. The problem will Periodically go away and the App will  work fine and then it will occur again.
I have gotten more help from the members of this list trying to figure out this problem, then I have gotten from the owners of this company. They have not once gotten back to me on any of my emails. It is really hard for me to think of paying them all of this money if they can’t even fix the basics.

However, just because Voice Dream Reader is designed to work extremely well with Voiceover and has features for low vision users, it is not an app specifically made for blind/visually impaired users. You need to get your facts straight.

The Applause Group bought Voice Dream LLC in April of 2023.  Applause Group never said you would never have to pay.  They said you didn’t have to pay right away.

Jonathan’s take is pretty clear, this is a good business decision. 

But, you are spreading false information.

Boycott it if you want and use something else, but do not give wrong information.

 

Could they have handled it differently, probably so.

 

And as I have said, more than once, Winston was going to have to do the exact same thing.
