Hi Jenny, It sounds like you might have your thermostat set on learning mode?
I turned learning mode off and I just go with the conventional way of using a schedule. I keep mine always in heat or cool mode depending in which season we are and om home mode all the time. There are four of us living in the house and seldom is the house empty. So I don’t find it necessary to have it change to away. I scheduled for the night temperature to drop as low as 65 degrees from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. >From 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM I have it set to get up to 68 degrees. Of course, if I need it to change it then I use my Alexa to tell it to set the heat or cool to whatever temperature I want. Also, I can use the Nest app to do that as well, but I find it’s more convenient to use the Alexa devices. I don’t know if that helps any, but there you go. 😊 From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Jenny Bomareto Sent: Saturday, March 9, 2024 5:02 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Those of you that have Nest Thermostats. Is it better to keep it on home mode when I’m at home? To conserve energy as I do not want to do the eco-temperatures because I don’t know what is the proper range for that and of course I know the reason it goes to a way mode for when I leave my house is to conserve energy. Cooling is said to 78° with the current temperature of 74°. Now earlier today even though it’s been set on 78 and I have not changed the temperature earlier we’re staying with the temperature of 70° sometimes 71 sometimes 72 sometimes 73° again I have not changed, the temperature since my neighbor took off all those schedules I have no clue how that happened but she turned auto schedule off. Thanks for reading regarding this matter. Jenny Bomareto Sent from my iPhone 15 -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
