Are you raising it to within a foot or maybe a foot and a half from your head? There is a proximity sensor that kicks in when it gets close to your body, or if you cover the upper portion of the screen, which renders the screen useless until you move it away or uncover the upper area.  Richard, USA “Grandma always told us, “Be careful when you pray for patience.
