I just tried a couple books from my Kindle library on my iPad Mini 6 and had no
trouble.

1. which voice are you using?

2. is that your default voice?

3. If it is, do you have detect language on under settings, VoiceOver, speech?

4. Which font did you change to?

I had some trouble reading with the default font, so I changed it to Open
Dyslexic and it reads fine.

The font makes no difference to me since I am totally blind, but apparently it
made a difference to the app..

Subject: Kindle on ipad issue

Hello list

I purchased a kindle book and I made sure that the product details state that
text to speech and screen readers are enabled but the book does not play
correctly on my iPad. The moment I swipe down with two fingers for continuous
reading it sounds if there are no spaces between words and if there are strange
sounds, like a different language. I changed the font and size of text but the
problem continues. Has anyone encountered this or should I just return the
book. The problem is that it is not the first time that I encounter this
problem and it is just strange that the kindle app can not read books meant for
kindle.

Regards

Fanus
