I think that would depend quite a lot on how much you move around at night. I always listen to an audiobook as I'm falling asleep. I lay on my side with only one ear-bud in on the side not facing the pillow and usually when I wake up he ear-bud is still in place. Now not strangling yourself with the wire might be more of a concern but that hasn't happened to me yet either. <grin>
