Larry, I'm sure, was referring to using a program to remove the DRM protection 
for personal use that could convert the Kindle book to a ePub or other format 
that could be played on any device or app rather than only Kindle devices. I 
have the last usable version of Codex on my web site with an old uindle for PC 
app that works with Codex; but according to the article I quoted earlier, that 
will soon stop working with new Kindle books.
