It's going to be interesting to see at what point exactly the sound is played. Obviously the longer the delay between power on and sound the less useful it becomes. Definitely some impressive engineering going on if they got it to a point where iBoot was able to handle audio. In an ideal world it would also sound if you had a corrupt iOS install.
Obviously not something to go out and buy a Pro for on its own, but you'd imagine that the feature will trickle down to less expensive models over the years.
