Kindle unlimited is separate from prime. It cost $10 per month and there is a lot of free Kindle content by using it. I would suggest trying it out for a month and seeing if it is worth your $10. It also allows you to search books and download books from within the Kindle app, some thing that you cannot do with a paid book.
