Hi Terry, I recently purchased an iPad mini, and I bought a keyboard to go with it. I sent the keyboard back. It was the sort you described, with a keyboard and then the iPad fits in the top. I had a few problems with the keyboard. Number one was the large bezel around the keyboard, which meant that the space barwas not in a good position for me. Number two was the small size of the keyboard. That is because it’s an iPad mini, so of course the keyboard isn’t anything close to full size. I’ve been typing for 50 years, make that closer to 60. I learned on an old manual typewriter and typed on those for years. all these little dinky keyboards with their lousy key travel etc. are not my idea of a good time. You may have better luck of course. Or you could have a separate keyboard that’s not a case, and then you’ll have more choices. There are not very many cases made with a keyboard in them for the mini.
