I keep mine in my pocket a lot, but sometimes in my purse, but I do not want any of those features.

That is what my synthesizer says since there is a period after Max, making it think it is an abbreviation. I have used tap to wake, but I never put my phone in my pocket. It is too much of a pain to get it out when I need to answer it. I have a small shoulder bag my wife made that is just the size of the phone with a pocket built in for earbuds. That way, it is out of my way, and easy to grab. I suspect if a non Apple screen was reacting to things in your pocket the Apple screen will too, if not more so, as the screens are highly sensitive.
