I ask Siri, What is on my Calendar for a given date, and it replies with all the appointments for that date.
Are you using the native calendar app? How are you phrasing your question. And, yes, they are talking about the Apple Podcasts app. But, I just asked, What are my updates? It is a new feature that gives you the weather, and news if you have that Podcasts app installed and I suspect have selected news sources, and some other bit of information. Much like an Alexa skill you can set up. I don't use the Apple Podcasts app, so cannot test that.
