Can’t speak to the Series 3 .. but I do have the Series 7 with the dirt disposal feature. Previously I had the 980, and honestly that seemed to do a better job. I looked on You Tube and found a bunch of reviews and comparisons out there .. so there are probably some for the 3.
As to the app, for the most part it’s completely accessible. They do see to update it quite regularly, so once in a while you get some unlabeled things .. but generally speaking it’s decent. Of course the maps that the units build aren’t accessible. You can also connect to Alexa device. I have it both ways.
