If you had not closed the file, there would have been an undo. It is toward the bottom of the edit screen, above the keyboard, If you find the cursor button, and flick right you have: Cursor, Cursor Movement Unit, Select Text, Start Proof Reading, Undo, Redo, Dismiss keyboard. Those may be dimmed if they are not available at the time.
