My favorite program is FLAC Squisher. It is open source and it requires end users to download the LAME MP3 encoder separately. It will convert all sub-folders in a folder, such as all the albums of an artist that are in their own folders under the artist’s name. Also, it transfers the album cover and related image files to the folder with the MP3 files.
BTW: iOS supports FLAC files and Apple is rumored to be increasing the storage of the 2021 iPhones.
