If you were in the voiceover setting and chose the Siri male, you were 
choosing it to be the voiceover voice. If you go to the Siri and search 
setting, go down to Siri voice and then choose the Siri male, it will be the 
default for Siri.

voices, so I double tapped on that and chose Siri male so I am assuming

Samsung. I haven't heard it. I can take JAWS way better than the Ivona

I like Siri and Samantha, so haven't tried any of the other ones for my 
iPhone. I've heard Douglas Walker's male voices on his phone on the 
Hadley videos, and they don't appeal to me. It is better though, that we 
have the choices to make.

American Female  that seems to be the problem. It was with the last 
update that some of us are having a problem with that. I changed it to 
the male American Apple had suggested to the other person to change it 
to a British voice. So it’s up to you but whatever when you change it 
and it should work. Apparently with the next update this should be 
resolved.
