One last thing you might want to try is to sign out of the Audible app and sign back in. Re the actual app, my player tab went away for weeks but then returned so you may be right, a reinstall is probably a good idea just to make sure it is all running properly. According to the info I do have the most recent version. As far as the differences noted I wondered if the app might be related to the websites? Audible.ca and audible.com are separate (and if you've ever tried getting a book transferred from one to another then you know they make a big deal of that separateness!) so I thought maybe the apps were connected to the respective websites.
