Hi, As others stated, there must be an Apple Watch variation of the app so that it can be on the Apple Watch. If an app is indeed designed for the Apple Watch as well, inside of the Watch app on your iOS device on the my watch tab, you can go through the list there and remove or install such apps. In the watch app, inside of general, there is also a Setting so that apps that have an Apple Watch variation can be automatically installed on the Apple Watch. I personally have this setting off and install apps manually as I do not need every app on my iOS device on my Apple Watch. Hope that helps.
