With a braille display, the best way to do text replacement is to write whatever you want in grade 2 Braille, then go back to the top of the document and put your output and input modes into 8-dot braille. You'll be reading your text in grade 1 braille, and when you find an error that needs correcting or text you wish to replace you can freely move the cursor to that part of your document. I'm using a BrailleEdge by Hims. But I suspect this will work with just about any braille device. Hope this helps.
