You need to set up Apple Pay in the Wallet app. I use Apple Pay all the time in restaurants and pubs etc. I rarely need my phisical credit card these days. I simply double tap home from the lock screen and wallet/apple pay is ready and I point the phone to the bank terminal (the device where you insert creadit card and enter pind to pay). A beep is played and VO lets me know that transaction complete. The bank terminal has to be NFC-enabled to use Apple Pay. Apple Pay is brilliant!
