Hi Ed, There are 2 possibilities here: 1. It’s user error and he’s just got something messed up 2. There is an actual issue with the phone Solution: Make an appointment at an Apple Store and get them to help him fix it (hopefully he lives somewhere near an Apple Store). If not he either has to see if they can help him over the phone or maybe a sighted person who knows at least a bit about iPhones can try to help him.
