If you do not want a full-fledged note taker with Wifi, email, etc., then yes, the Orbit Reader works great. I have one and it connects easily to iPhone or Windows computers. It costs, $600 from Orbit research. But, since you were considering the Polaris, I thought you maybe wanted a stand-alone note taker. The Orbit does have a simple text editor though, so can be used to take notes, read books from the SD card, etc. Richard
